Who these terms cover

These terms apply to using the Skardu Adventures website and arranging tours, treks, transport, accommodation and hospitality services with our team in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Please read these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Cancellation & Refund Policy and the written conditions for your selected trip before agreeing to a booking.

Your trip agreement

Your agreed itinerary or package sets out travel dates, group size, accommodation, transport, inclusions, exclusions, price, payment schedule and trip-specific cancellation conditions. Services not listed as included are additional. Ask us to clarify any missing detail before you agree. Trip-specific written conditions govern the relevant arrangements, subject to rights that applicable law protects.

Enquiries, custom offers and confirmation

Sending an enquiry or starting a chat begins a conversation. Saving a custom booking creates a reservation record; accepting a proposal records your agreement to that offer. These steps do not by themselves verify a payment or confirm that suppliers are available. The team will confirm the reservation and its arrangements in writing. Keep your booking reference and agreed itinerary.

Prices, deposits and optional extras

Payable booking amounts are stated in Pakistani rupees (PKR). Any other currency display is indicative. A price marked “on request”, “quote required” or “price not set” needs a written quote before payment. Confirm whether the quoted amount is per person or for the whole group. Selected upgrades such as Prado transport, hotels, dinners or flights are included in the total only when priced and agreed. Standard trips may offer a deposit with a stated balance and due date; custom bookings use their agreed payment arrangements.

Payments and payment records

When enabled, card payment takes place through Safepay’s hosted checkout. An uploaded transfer receipt or a browser success screen is not proof that funds have been verified. We record payments after provider verification or checking actual bank funds. Reservation status and payment status are separate: a trip may be confirmed or completed under an agreed offline arrangement without an online payment. Only use payment instructions supplied through our official website or team, and retain your receipt and reference.

Changes, cancellations and refunds

Please notify our team in writing promptly if your plans change. The Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the request process; your accepted trip conditions describe any deadlines, supplier charges, deposits or refund eligibility. A reservation cancellation does not automatically issue a refund. Changes to a fixed custom itinerary or price require a revised written offer. We will explain a proposed change and any price difference before asking you to agree.

Mountain travel and service changes

Weather, road conditions, flight disruption, local restrictions and supplier availability can affect a journey. Our team may need to change a route or arrangement for safety or because an agreed service is unavailable. We will explain the effect on your itinerary, discuss available alternatives and address any price or refund consequences under your agreement and applicable law. Mountain travel has risks; follow your guide’s safety instructions and choose activities suited to your group.

Traveller information and preparation

Provide accurate contact details, traveller numbers and required documents. Tell us about accessibility requirements, relevant health considerations and dietary needs before confirming arrangements so we can discuss what is feasible. Confirm passport, visa and route-specific permit requirements for your own journey before travelling. Arrange insurance appropriate to your activities, including trekking, altitude and emergency evacuation where relevant; ask your insurer to confirm cover.

Children, conduct and belongings

An adult must make bookings for children and communicate supervision needs to our team. Treat guides, hosts, other travellers, communities and the environment respectfully. Follow lawful instructions and agreed safety rules. Keep valuables and travel documents secure and let the team know promptly about a lost item or service problem.

Website, accounts and conversations

Keep your password and private booking or chat links secure. Provide information you are authorised to share and do not upload unlawful, harmful or unnecessary sensitive documents. Conversations are accessible to authorised Skardu Adventures staff supporting your journey; they are not public traveller forums. Do not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the service or misuse another traveller’s information. Our website content and branding must not be reused commercially without permission or another lawful basis.

Problems and your rights

Raise a problem with your guide or our team as soon as practical so we can try to resolve it during your trip. For follow-up, send your reference and a clear description through our support contact. We will review the agreed services and available records. Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights or excludes responsibility that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

Updates and contact

We may update these website terms and show the revised date on this page. Changes do not automatically rewrite an existing confirmed trip’s agreed price, itinerary or cancellation conditions. Contact Skardu Adventures using the support details below if you have questions before booking.
